For this brand-new collaboration for International Women's Day, Jolane, an artist from Angers, has drawn two exclusive illustrations that are featured on two T-shirts. One celebrates accepting how you see yourself, interpreted by a big cat, a free, wild animal symbolising women, admiring her reflection in a mirror, with a strong slogan for your identity: ‘Let your light shine bright.’ The other focuses on loving yourself, in a colourful composition inspired by Matisse's brush stroke; the soft focus is on a woman surrounded by stylised and an eye, underlined by ‘(Self) Love’. These are more than just T-shirts, they have a message to get across. A message to love yourself, for who you are, and all the women in your life.
The story continues. Once again, all of the profit from the sale of the T-shirts in the I.Code x Jolane Capsule will be donated to charity with Femmes des Territoires, a charitable network that connects and shines a light on women who set up businesses all over France.
Formed by combining Morgane, her first name, with Jolene, from the song by Dolly Parton (1973), Jolane is a made-up name her grandfather used for her. After beginning her career as a communications manager in the world of wine, she started working an illustrator in 2020. She is a fan of Matisse and Andy Warhol for colour, Jean-Michel Basquiat for interpreting emotions and Keith Haring for shapes, and her world is very eclectic, with love, femininity, the ocean, and abstract being her favourite subjects, in a really pop, fun style.Optimism, femininity and humanity are strong values she shares with I.Code, a brand she defines as having being "good mood and committed, feminine and bubbly".
